Structural Time (A Change Dynamics Variable)

by Dr. J. Robert Clinton

Structural time is a way of viewing happenings with a long enough linear span of time so that actual cycles of repeated events can be identified. Having identified these structural stages one can then use the list of repeating cycles to both explain what has happened in an organization or movement and to somewhat predict what may happen next. This is an important concept in “Change Dynamics” theory, i.e. used in strategizing to implement change in an organization. (27 p.)
